My Review:
The emotions in this book explode on the pages. Tracey's fear was palpable, yet so is the determination she exudes. Diesel's anger intense, leaving me glad I wasn't in his crosshairs. Apart they are terrific, yet broken, characters; together they lit my Kindle on fire. Their interactions are sexually charged, but filled with unexpected tenderness.
I was pulled into their slow-burn romance. I was enthralled by their personalities, Tracey's sassy and determined nature, Diesel's growliness and need to protect, and their ultimate need to heal their pasts. Sparks fly, heads deny, and hearts cry out for each other. I loved the two of them together, enjoyed their banter and strength, and the path the author took to get them where they needed to be was enjoyable.
The secondary characters were supportive, protective, and fun group to meet and spend time with throughout the story. Their close-knit relationships, strong family bonds, and real-life characters make this book exceptional. This is my first taste of The Whiskeys and I will definitely be coming back for more.
