Release Blitz ~ Venus Remembered by Ray Bradbury & Jason J. Marchi @RABTBookTours #SciFi #Fantasy

Foreword By William F. Nolan

Science Fiction and Fantasy

Release Date: November 30, 2020

Publisher: Fahrenheit Books

About the Book:

Available 30 November 2020 for the 100th anniversary year of the birth of Ray Bradbury

Venus Remember - "All Summer in a Day" by Ray Bradbury and the inspired sequel "When the Rain Stops" by Jason Marchi

"There's life on Venus! See for yourself... in two haunting, spectral stories of cold rain, poisoned jungle, and sickened hearts, penned by Ray Bradbury and Jason Marchi. As refreshing as an out-of-nowhere shower on a sun dazzling day." – Joe Hill, New York Times Bestselling author of Heart-Shaped Box and Horns, among others.

NINE YEAR OLD Margot remembers the sun. "[A] yellow crayon or a coin large enough to buy the world with . . . a warmness, like a blushing in the face, in the body, in the arms and legs and trembling hands." In Ray Bradbury's revered short story, "All Summer in a Day," the last time Margot saw the sun was when she was four years old and still living on Earth. After her family moved to Venus a year later, she longed to see the sun again and to feel its warmth on her skin. On the one day every seven years when it stops raining on Venus and the sun breaks through the perpetual cloud cover to brighten the landscape for a brief two hours, Margot is locked away in a dark closet by her jealous classmates. Readers familiar with the graceful and poetic writing of Ray Bradbury – and those new to his literary magic – will find themselves empathetic toward a young girl who is kept from feeling and seeing the sunlight by her mean-spirited peers. Jump forward in time and meet Margot at 16. In the story "When the Rain Stops," Jason Marchi provides one plausible and satisfying answer to the question left in readers' minds at the end of Bradbury's classic tale of aloneness – whatever happened to Margot?

High Heels and Mistletoe by C.A. King @PortalProphecy ~ #Giveaway ~ Holiday Romance, Comedy

High Heels and Mistletoe
by C.A. King

Genre: Holiday Romance, Comedy

Billionaire Romance meets Sweet Christmas Love in this New Romantic Comedy made just for the holidays.

Call it an allergy or a family curse, either way it boiled down to the same problem: Julietta Romero couldn't go within six feet of mistletoe.
Forty-eight weeks, from January to the beginning of December, were spent filling the position as a top executive at a prestigious marketing firm--a five-year running record without a single incident. As long as she continued taking all her vacation hours all at the same time, nothing would change. Then, the worst scenario happened: with only a handful of days left before her flight, she found herself working round the clock on the firm's biggest deal yet, and her boss wasn't letting her leave until it was signed, sealed, and delivered.
Luke Winslow was in love with women, parties, and the holidays, and not necessarily in that order. Taking over one of his father's companies didn't fit into any of his plans, nor did a relationship that lasted longer than a roll in the sheets. There wasn't a single person who had made him want to settle down and be serious, that was until she fell into his arms... several times. Now, he'll do anything possible to stop her from escaping his charms, including holding off putting his John Hancock on the business deal his father instructed him to close.
It's up to the magic of the season to bring this unlikely couple together with a little help from a pair of High Heels and Mistletoe.

Read an Excerpt:

One starry night,

When the sky was super bright,

Little Ari climbed into bed

And turned out the light.

I wonder what I’ll dream tonight.

What places will I go?

I guess until I close my eyes

I’ll never really know.”

What is a dream?” asked a voice

That came from down below.

Ari looked at the floor,

In shock. “Say it isn’t so!”

Pepper, was that you?

Did you just speak, for heaven’s sake?

Nah, you’re a dog!

I’m not dreaming yet. I’m still awake!”

Pepper looked at Ari

And tilted her head to the right.

Yep, I can talk!” said Pepper,

Giving Ari quite a fright.

First, Ari started screaming

And headed for the door.

Then she remembered, “Pepper’s my friend,”

And wasn’t afraid anymore.
