About the Book:

It’s been over a year since Jimena kidnapped Nic and locked him in his basement. Turns out demons love being adored, even by serial killers. This long-term toxic relationship that’s become a marriage hinges on Jimena’s ability to show he is reformed.

What better way to do this than by adopting a feral cat… or seven. Jimena’s new obsession shows him the dark side of humanity and how cruel they can be to unwanted pets.

His murderous intent is now misguided and used to avenge the animals that can’t protect themselves.

It’s an improvement, sort of. Except the demon cop that’s helping keep Jimena out of jail is bringing up old feelings and Jimena is considering upgrading in demons. Might upgrade from avenging pets to avenging people too, because these mass shootings involving children are getting a bit annoying.

Jimena and Nic continue their toxic love story that may not last much longer, especially if Jimena locks a demon cop in his basement.

About the Author:

Nina Schluntz is a native to rural Nebraska. In her youth, she often wrote short stories to entertain her friends. Those ideas evolved into the novels she creates today.

Her husband continues to ensure her stories maintain a touch of realism as she delves into the science fiction and fantasy realm. Their three cats are always willing to stay up late to provide inspiration, whether it is a howl from the stray born in the backyard or an encouraging bite from the so called “calming kitten.”

Something she probably should have considered before she welcomed his kisses.

Intent on supporting his family, Tristan seeks employment, only to fall for a woman he knows he cannot have. Lady Lilliana is everything he could possibly dream of in a life partner. About the Author:

I’m an author, poet, freelancer and professional snack eater. Licorice, cookies and funyuns, ya’ll!

I’m an old soul, a late bloomer and I bask in my un-coolness.

The words I put to the page, come from the heart and demonstrate the journey I’ve made to nurture and grow my spirit.

Wrote a few guest blog posts, worked at a magazine and wrote some posts for webizines.

Six published poetry collections demonstrate how my life experiences have shaped me. They begin with my first collection, My Quintessence, which was released in 2014. It includes poems from my teenage years and past life as a Christian. My second poetry collection, Phoenixes Groomed a Genesis Doves, was released a year after I de-converted from Christianity in 2015.

I’ve had to tackle a lot of tough topics in my life, but as I reveal my heart, my hope is that I inspire others to pursue their dreams with confidence in being who they are authentically.

My realization is reflected in my third release, Long Live Phoenixes, as well as my latest poetry series, (3 micro collections in total) Release.

I’m currently working on my first novel and telling my cat to get off the computer desk.

When she’s not teaching or working on continuing her own education. She’s filled boxes of notebooks with stories, and it wasn’t until she was stuck at home that she eventually self-published her first book Adelyn’s Amazing Adventures. When she isn’t writing she’s crocheting, reading fantasy, scanning through Pinterest, and drinking coffee.

Book Blitz ~ Message in a Bullet by Owen Thomas ~ @RABTBookTours #RABTBookTours #MessageinaBullet #OwenThomas #Mystery

Message in a Bullet by Owen Thomas
A Raymond Mackey Mystery, Book 1

Mystery

Date Published: September 30, 2021

Publisher: OTF Literary

About the Book:

Raymond Mackey is a struggling crime writer. His friends call him Mack. But friends are in short supply these days. Mack’s thirty years as a homicide detective came to the kind of abrupt, ignominious end that tends to make friends dry up and blow away. It matters little that Mack was never actually a mole working for a shadowy, seemingly omnipresent mob boss. Somehow, the evidence was there anyway and the scandal ended everything for him overnight. Lucky to stay out of prison, Mack lives in a netherworld of forced retirement, spinning his memories of old homicide cases into pulp fiction and working part time as a shopping mall cop. His wife Marlo, the greatest criminal investigator Mack has ever known, has been dead of pancreatic cancer for nearly five years. That leaves his ancient Smith-Corona Corsair, a pack of Camels, a bottle of Old Forester, and Marlo’s bourbon-loving cat, Phil, as Mack’s only company.

Almost. Because Mack also keeps himself company. The psychiatrists call it Depersonalization-Derealization Disorder. Mack calls it Triple-D. But crazy also works. It means he watches himself, usually from an overhead perspective, as though someone has tied a floating camera to a back beltloop on a long string. It makes him feel watched, and not by someone inclined to judge him kindly. So Raymond Mackey comes complete with his own Greek chorus. “Watch yourself, Mack,” people tell him. He has no choice.

When one of Mack’s old informants goes missing and Mack’s face turns up in a dead man’s camera, his past comes roaring painfully back to life. Now the police want him for questioning, the mob want him dead and it’s increasingly difficult to tell who, exactly, is working for whom. As a mercilessly hot Chicago summer finally breaks and it starts to rain bodies, Mack finds himself past his prime for this kind of action. Retirement has added weight and subtracted agility. He hasn’t fired a weapon in years. His antiquated cell phone will not stop ringing with a mysteriously blocked number. In the end, as Mack watches himself from above, it is razor-sharp instinct, cheap consumer electronics and his dead wife that offer his only hope.

Book Blitz & #Giveaway ~ CORINTH 2642 AD by Bindiya Schaefer @bindiyaschaefer ~ @RABTBookTours #RABTBookTours #CORINTH2642AD #BindiyaSchaefer #Scifi #Thriller

CORINTH 2642 AD by Bindiya Schaefer

Adult Sci-Fi Thriller

Date Published: Sept 21, 2021

Publisher: Zenith Publishing

About the Book:

A lot has changed in 2642 AD. Chocolate has become extinct, Hyperloops have replaced cars and wearable technology is the norm. But nothing has changed more than humans themselves. People no longer identify themselves as White, Asian, Brown or Black. Because of globalization and war, no one person is ethnically like the other because they are a beautiful mix of every race that existed before them.

This is the world that Cara yearns to escape to. She can no longer be a part of the pureblood, white supremacist cult (led by her imperial grandfather Julius Bull) where she was raised, so she and other young people make a run for it.

Desperate to keep Cara's dissidence quiet for fear of losing face and potentially inciting a power struggle against his own police force, Bull calls in some favors and requests Jimmy Matoo, a Special Investigator from San Francisco, to help him.

For Matoo, the visit to Corinth, Oregon, is eye-opening. He has never seen a white person before, at least not in real life. He quickly discovers that to keep their bloodline pure and grow the populace, the surviving colonies have been intermarrying to keep producing the next generation of survivors. And, that's not all. His investigation reveals dozens of young colony members have gone missing over the years, and some have been found dead on the outskirts of Corinth.

With the clock ticking, Matoo's missing persons investigation soon becomes a fight for survival—turns out the residents don't like a brown fellow in their midst. Can he find Cara, figure out what happened to his brother, and save the leader's family from the cabal terrorizing Corinth before it's too late? Maybe. But first, he must find out who in the colony has the means and connections to smuggle the dissidents out without being detected because it could be the difference between life and death.

Read an Excerpt:

The word minority rolled uncomfortably around in my head. The concept was so alien these days when most people could trace their family tree—starting with their grandparents—back to at least four different countries. I couldn’t explain how diverse my own family was if I tried.

Bindiya is a former defense and aerospace journalist. Before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, she lived in Dubai, UAE and Bangalore, India.

When she’s not writing, she’s camping in the California wilderness (where she also writes) with her husband and baby-dog.
