#BookReview ~ The Arctic Cruise by Caroline James ~ #SecondChanceRomance #Romance #Self-Discovery ~ @CarolineJames12 @rararesources

The Arctic Cruise

Pack your bags for the adventure of a lifetime…

About the Book:

From the #1 bestselling author of The Cruise, embark on an unforgettable journey and sail through Norway’s winter wonderlands to see the spectacular Northern Lights.

________

Will the Arctic wonderland work its magic this winter?

Joy never imagined stepping aboard a cruise ship without her husband, Tom. Now widowed, Joy wonders what her voyage on the Emerald Dream will hold – and as it glides through breathtaking Norwegian fjords, she longs to believe in happiness again. However, she carries a secret that could unravel her fragile hopes if it ever came to light…

Elsewhere on deck, as the sun dips below the horizon and the polar night sets in, Henry, a lifelong bachelor, is living his dream of seeing the Northern Lights. Having long since given up on love, he now dedicates himself to his passion for photography. But when he meets Joy, is it more than the aurora borealis that catches his eye?

As they embark on a snow-dusted adventure which takes them from bustling ports to reindeer-drawn sleigh rides, will Joy and Henry find the courage to embrace love again? Or will hidden truths sink the possibility of a new beginning?

A heartwarming, feel-good voyage of self-discovery, romance and second chances, perfect for fans of Sarah Morgan and Judy Leigh.

My Review:

The Arctic Cruise is a spectacular novel about second chances, friendship, and romance. From the first page, I was drawn in by the characters, writing style, and descriptions. Having taken a few cruises (the most recent was February 2024), I was right at home during embarkation, as the characters moved around the ship, and during events and excursions. The author captured the essence of a cruise so well I thought I was on the ship with the characters.

I love the characters Caroline James created. Each vastly different in personality, experiences, and life stories. A nice mix of polite, shy, and not-so-nice. Watching perfect strangers interact and become friends is vacation goals. I hope the friendships that were developed on the Arctic Cruise last longer than the friendships my sister and I made on our first cruise in 1995.

Our connections lasted about 3 months (despite all of us living in the same state, being the same ages, and belonging to the same religious group). I guess that's the difference between creating new bonds with a bunch of teenagers versus adults. I would have loved to meet Joy, Henry, Letitia, and Jim. I enjoyed spending time with all four of them during their cruise through Norway.

#BookReview ~ Love, Lies, and Whiskey by Melissa Foster ~ #Romance #SecondChanceRomance #CowboyRomance #FoundFamily @GreysPromo

Love, Lies, and Whiskey by Melissa Foster is now live!

Get ready to fall hard for the mysterious Seeley “Doc” Whiskey and the one woman he never thought would walk back into his life, in this sexy and emotional second-chance standalone romance. The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch is a small-town, big-family series of standalone romance novels featuring fiercely loyal, insanely sexy bikers who give horses—and people—a second chance. No cliffhangers, no cheating, and a happily ever after that will leave you breathless.

About the Book:

First loves that were ripped apart, and the epic love that saves them.

At nineteen, Seeley “Doc” Whiskey fell hard for the governor’s daughter, and then she was torn away. He risked his life and his family’s legacy to get her back, only to find out that everything he believed about her was a lie. His heart has been locked down ever since.

Betrayed by everyone she loves, Juliette Chambers has been through hell and back. Now a single mother and veterinarian, Juliette moves back to Colorado to start over. The last person she expects to run into is the man who completely destroyed her.

A chance encounter turns into a moment of fury, sending them into an emotional maelstrom. Tears and accusations fly and passion ignites, but in their wake they discover a trail of secrets and lies and a life-changing blow that takes them to their knees.

My Review:

Romantic, emotional, and full of love.

Love, Lies, and Whiskey is the fourth book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch series. Doc and Juliette's story is a delicious second-chance romance. This book has all the feelings. The swoony romance, the epic betrayal that divided a family, the healing, and the reconciliation.

Not all is wine and roses in Colorado. Doc has never loved anyone like he loved Juliette. She destroyed him at the age of nineteen and when he sees her in town so many feelings bubble back to the surface.

Moving to Colorado was risky but Juliette never thought she run into Seeley. When they come face-to-face in a local hospital, everything she's suppressed over the years rears their ugly heads. The time to confront the past is now and neither Juliette nor Seeley are prepared for the deluge of emotions that threaten to overwhelm them.

I was pulled into Juliette and Doc's love story. I felt their emotions as I immersed myself into their lives. The anger, betrayal, and sadness permeate the characters. They are also filled with so much love. Theirs is an epic love story that includes several bumps in the road. A story I dove right into as they uncovered the secrets and lies that led them to the present.

I was captivated by both their personalities, Juliette's strength, and Doc's gentle and loving ways. Their interactions were sweet and I loved the bond they still shared even after all those year. The author wove a wonderful tale with parts that made me cry, laugh, and fan my face. And, boy was I angry. Angry for the treatment of characters in the story, angry for the time lost, and angry that, even though this is fiction, people can really be like the unsavory characters in this book.

The secondary characters were supportive, protective, and fun to meet and spend time with. Their close-knit relationships, strong family ties, and real-life like characters round out this exceptional book. The author wrote a realistic book filled with romance, banter and wit, drama, humor, and emotion. Melissa Foster is my go-to for anything romantic.

#BookReview ~ Catch a Falling Star by Laura Carter ~ @LCarterAuthor @rararesources @BoldwoodBooks #RockStarRomance #Romance #SecondChanceRomance #CatchAFallingStar #BoldwoodBloggers

Catch a Falling Star

About the Book:

It’s never too late…

Lyra Clarkson has built a career capturing other people’s perfect moments. She loves her work as a wedding photographer – despite her family’s disapproval – but she’s never quite found her own path.

Guy Walker, former rock star turned wedding singer, has hit a new low. Desperately needing cash, he’s agreed to take any gig his manager can get him, even if this new form of entertainment isn’t just singing.

As Lyra and Guy’s paths cross – in the most bizarre way possible – an unexpected kiss will change everything. But was it simply a chance encounter or is fate bringing them back together?

Now forced into each other’s lives for the entire wedding season, the unlikely pair may just figure out together how to realise both their dreams…

My Review:

Catch a Falling Star is a beautiful second chance romance. The main characters are Lyra, a wedding photographer, and Guy, a former guitarist-turned-wedding singer. Lyra has forged her own career path without support from her family. Guy is in need of additional cash flow and takes any job his manager tosses his way. They come together, again (yes, that's right - again) at her former friend's bridal shower. She as the photographer, he as the bartending eye candy. Their current occupations keeps putting them together at the same weddings, and the sparks fly every time they meet.

I loved this romantic story that brings to people back together after tragedy kept them apart. There is so much chemistry between Lyra and Guy. I loved seeing them evolve and heal throughout the book. Neither were necessarily looking for love, but you know what they say - love finds you when you least expect it. The slow-burn aspect of their romance occurs naturally without force, and I appreciate that. The author did a great job bringing Lyra and Guy back together.

This book is cute, fun, and romantic, while dealing with serious topics. The author created a wonderful world, 3D characters with depth and emotion, and realistic romantic and family scenarios. I always enjoy multiple points-of-view and this is no exception. I love reading this as Lyra and as Guy. I immersed myself into this beautiful romance and loved going on the journey of self-discovery and absolution of guilt, while at the same watching the development of a magical romance.

I was provided with a copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

#BookReview ~ Safe Harbour in Pelican Crossing by Maggie Christensen ~ #SecondChanceRomance #Romance @MaggieChriste33 @rararesources

Safe Harbour in Pelican Crossing: An emotional and uplifting story of friends, family and second chances.

About the Book:

After the death of her abusive husband, Erica Masters returns to Perth, eager for a fresh start and the birth of her granddaughter. But when she learns her husband has changed his Will in favour of their son, leaving her with nothing, she flees to seek refuge in Pelican Crossing, the place she once called home.

Having sold his fishing boat after a bitter divorce which left him to bring up his two teenage sons, Jamie Whittaker has found success with his fishing charter business. Thrilled by the arrival of his first grandchild, he is stunned when his teenage flame, Erica, reappears in town.

As the pair reconnect, old feelings resurface, but Erica remains guarded after her painful past. Jamie, determined to win Erica's heart once again, manages to break through her defences until a family tragedy turns their lives upside down.

With everything unravelling around them, can these two troubled souls build a future together?

If you enjoy emotional reads, you'll love this gripping tale of love and second chances.

My Review:

Safe Harbour in Pelican Crossing is the fifth book in the Pelican Crossing series. Erica Masters sought safety in Pelican Crossing a year ago when fleeing her abusive husband. Upon his sudden death, Erica returns to Perth, across the continent. She then learns that her husband shook things up at some point, cutting her completely out of his will, leaving her with absolutely nothing. One final slap from him to remind her who was in charge.

After finally being free of her controlling deceased husband, Erica makes the difficult decision to leave her son, daughter-in-law, and new grandbaby and return to Pelican Crossing permanently. With the changes in inheritance and worrisome changes in her son, she was not going to sit around and allow her son to treat her the same way.

Jamie Whittaker has always thought of Erica as the one who got away. They dated in their teens but that all changed when she went to Sydney to college, met and married another guy, and relocated to Perth. Her return the previous year was shrouded in mystery and his best mate and Erica's brother, Joe, kept her tight under wraps the entire time she was home, then she vanished again, back to Perth. Now that she's back in Pelican Crossing, there is hope from him and everyone who knows them, that they will reconnect.

I really enjoyed the realism in Safe Harbour in Pelican Crossing. The author delicately balanced domestic violence with care and compassion. So many people are victims of DV and I enjoyed reading about someone who is trying to get through the trauma while also trying to encourage and build up others who may be facing the same situation she had been in with her husband.

Erica's reconnection with Jamie is slow and fraught with trust issues, denial, and the inability to let go of the past. I  understood Erica's hesitancy and resistance. I realize she was abused by her first husband, but Jamie's past isn't all rose petals and champagne. Both characters have emotional baggage and scars.

I absolutely love Erica through most of the book. The scene that almost changed my mind about her, though, happened during the misunderstanding near the end of the book. Jamie felt like he should apologize for something that he didn't do and wasn't his fault. Erica misread the situation and ran instead of dealing with it head-on, or at the very least, asking questions. Jamie's apology was NOT necessary and Erica should have made it clear that the situation and escalation were her fault, not his.

Jamie was very patient and understanding. I loved his character, too. Of course he was excited about Erica's return, but he didn't force himself at her. He didn't need to, really. The townsfolk took care of that quite nicely for the both of them. Small towns - am I right?! I grew up in one and everyone always knew everyone else's business.

I enjoyed the story, the characters, and the setting. I love the author's writing style and the other themes woven throughout the story. The story is written with realism, passion, and emotion. There were twists and turns, conflict, and a wonderful, mature romance.

I was provided with a copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Happy Ever After at the Second Chances Sweet Shop by Hannah Lynn ~ @HMLynnauthor @rararesources @BoldwoodBooks #SecondChanceRomance #Romance #SweetRomance

Happy Ever After at the Second Chances Sweet Shop

About the Book:

Love is in the air…

For Giles’s sake, she tries to make peace with Sienna, throwing herself into wedding planning. But as everyone else cheers on the ‘happy’ couple, Holly’s left questioning whether her doubts are about them – or about something in her own heart…

Return to the cosy world of the Cotswolds in this heartwarming story of love, friendship and second chances – perfect for fans of Holly Martin and Jessica Redland.

My Review:

Happy Ever After at the Second Chances Sweet Shop is the eighth book in the Holly Berry Sweet Shop series. I have not read any of the previous books, and will be doing so as soon as possible. I'm not going to lie, parts of the book didn't make sense to me but only because I think they must have referenced a previous book in the series. This didn't detract from the story since I mostly figured everything out but I would definitely recommend reading the Holly Berry Sweet Shop books in order.

Love is in the air in Happy Ever After at the Second Chance Sweet Shop, but it isn't necessarily the best type of love or the kind of love anyone is expecting. Her bestie, Giles, just announced his engagement to a new person to the group. Sienna and Giles haven't been together very long (in Giles relationship terms) but yet he drops to one knee in front of their entire friend group and asks for her hand. Now Holly is faced the reality that her friendship with Giles may change, and she finally admits what her heart has been trying to tell her all along. But she might be too late.

I really enjoyed this story. I may not have a lot of the backstory but I loved the path carved out for a second chance romance. Holly gets into a few situations where she's unable to stand up or defend herself, which only makes her eventual assertiveness shine. When she finally gets the chance, she lets the person know her feelings. I love Giles and completely understand where he's coming from regarding his engagement to Sienna. You can only wait for someone for so long before moving on and, in many cases, when the person finally recognizes their feelings, love sometimes just isn't enough.

Broken hearts, longing, and manipulation fill this story. The story is also filled with love, compassion, realization, friendship, and support. Sometimes things just don't work out, other times, they work out just like they should, and sometimes you get a mix of both. I've been in Holly's shoes and when I finally realized what my feelings truly were, it was too late. There wasn't any reconciliation or even coming back together as friends. That actually worked out for the best for me. Now I'm married to an amazing man and our relationship is much better than the one I thought I missed out on.

Leave it to me to start the series with the final book...Lol. I never used to be this way. I was very strict about reading books in order, but lately I just start a series as soon as I discover it. I'll go back to the beginning eventually, but I can't wait to meet the characters and explore the locations, and so now, I don't wait.

I was provided with a copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

(Dixie Reapers MC)

Reclaiming Venom by Harley Wylde

Motorcycle Club Romance, 2nd Chance Romance

Date Published: April 11, 2025

What happens when a life shrouded in memories fades away, leaving only a faint echo of love?

About the Book:

Ridley -- Life can change in an instant. For me, it was the day I got that devastating call -- my world crumbled when I found out my husband, Venom, had been shot. He woke up, but the man I loved was a stranger. Then someone gave me a great idea. Make him fall for me all over again! Venom might not remember our past, but deep down, I know our connection is still there.

Venom -- I woke up in a hospital, no idea how I got there or what the hell happened. The angel by my bed seems familiar and yet not. Then she tells me she’s my wife. What the hell?

But as I spend time with Ridley, every story she shares awakens something deep within me. Her laughter, her warmth… the taste of her lips… every moment I spend with her ignites a spark that feels so right. I may not remember our years together, but I know one thing for sure: she’s mine.

Fall in love with the thrill of the ride, the heartache of forgotten memories, and the fierce determination of a love that refuses to die.

WARNING: Reclaiming Venom is intended for readers 18+ due to adult situations, bad language, and violence. While Reclaiming Venom can be read as a standalone, we recommended you read Venom (A Dixie Reapers MC 1) and Emergency Date (Swift Angels MC 2) first to better appreciate Reclaiming Venom.

Read an Excerpt:

Venom

I moved quickly, coming up behind Tinker. I couldn’t believe this asshole was still alive. Pressing the barrel of my gun to his head, I made sure I had his fucking attention. “Drop it. Now!”

Tinker froze, a string of curses spilling from his lips. Slowly, he turned to face me, realization dawning in his eyes.

“You sneaky bastards,” he snarled.

Torch and Bull emerged from the shadows, their own weapons trained on Tinker. The old man’s face contorted with rage. “This is all your fault,” he spat at us. “You and your damned club!”

Torch stepped forward. “Until you decided to stir up shit, we all thought you were dead. Why now, Tinker? Why didn’t you just stay gone?”

Tinker’s laugh was bitter. “You want to know why?”

His gaze darted to Justin, the President of the Swift Angels MC. “I only found out about him a year ago. My own flesh and blood, a cop. I watched. I waited. Hoped maybe he’d at least be dirty, something I could work with.”

I got it. Sort of. I hadn’t been too pleased to find out my son, Dawson, was not only a fireman, but also the VP of another club. I’d hoped he’d follow in my footsteps. But now, I had to admit I was proud of the man he’d become.

“Then I realized,” Tinker continued, a cruel smile twisting his features, “that the Swift Angels had ties to you Dixie Reaper scum. That’s when I knew it was time to make my move. All these decades, waiting for a chance to get revenge, and it fell right into my lap.”

“It’s over, Tinker. You’ve lost. Do you really think you’ll get out of this alive? We may not have made sure you were dead last time, but things are different now,” I said.

Tinker’s grin widened. “You sure about that, Venom?”

Without warning, chaos erupted. Two men materialized from the shadows behind Justin. Shit! Wire had said Tinker would be alone. Where the hell had these men come from?

“Justin, down!” Logan yelled, but it was too late.

A deafening crack split the air. Justin’s body jerked, his blue eyes wide with shock. Blood bloomed across his chest, a crimson stain spreading rapidly. “Shit,” he muttered, his voice barely audible before his knees buckled.

Logan appeared shocked at first, then the paramedic sprang into action. He snatched the med bag he’d brought as a precaution and sprinted toward Justin’s fallen form.

Two more shots went off, and pain hit me like a fucking freight train. I stared at Tinker in confusion as I sank to the ground, everything going dark around the edges of my vision. I could hear everything around me, even though it felt like I was down a long tunnel, voices echoing.

“Logan! Hurry the fuck up!” Dawson’s frantic voice cut through the chaos.

I felt something pooling beneath me and realized it was my own fucking blood. The world got darker and darker, and I knew I was going under. Jesus fucking Christ! I’d lived this damn long, and a snake like Tinker got the drop on me?

Ridley… What the hell would she do without me? I didn’t want to leave her. There was still so much I wanted to see and do with her. Regret slammed into me, as I tried to recall if I’d told her I loved her before we left.

“Diego!” Logan barked. “Keep pressure on Justin’s wound. I need to check on Venom.”

I felt someone drop beside me, but I couldn’t make out any shapes anymore.

“We need ambulances,” Logan shouted. “Two of them. Now!”

I felt someone rip open my shirt and try to staunch the flow of blood, but I knew it was too late. Nothing could save me now.

“Dad.” Dawson’s voice broke as someone knelt beside me. Was it Dawson? “Dad, can you hear me?”

I heard Logan’s voice on the other side of me. “He’s lost a lot of blood. We need to get him to the hospital immediately.”

Logan worked on packing my wounds. I wanted to tell him to save someone else, that I’d finally come to the end of my journey, but I couldn’t form the words. My body felt cold, and soon even the noises around me faded to nothing.

Ridley… I’m so fucking sorry for leaving you. I’ll always love you.

* * *

Ridley

I stared at my son in horror, seeing my husband’s blood all over him. I wordlessly handed him a change of clothes and watched as he rushed off to a bathroom. Jesus. He’d told me it was bad, but… there was so much blood.

I looked over at Torch, and he came closer.

“What happened?” I asked. “There were so many of you. Was Tinker really that hard to take down?”

Torch sighed and ran a hand over his beard. “He wasn’t alone. Not Wire’s fault. Somewhere he picked up two helpers. While Venom had his gun to Tinker’s head, the other two came out of nowhere. They shot Justin first, and while our focus was on him, the other one shot Venom.”

I pressed a hand to my chest, my knees feeling weak. “How bad? And don’t fucking lie to me, Torch.”

“It’s bad, Ridley,” he murmured. “He nearly coded in the ambulance. By some miracle, the paramedics were able to get him back. They rushed him to surgery the minute we arrived. If it hadn’t been for Logan, he’d have died before they even got there.”

Right when my knees gave out, someone caught me. I glanced up to see Viking behind me. He hugged me tight before picking me up and carrying me over to a chair. He gently eased me down, and I leaned forward, pressing my head to my knees.

“This can’t be happening,” I whispered. “All these years, and this happens now? He was supposed to be safer. He stepped down as VP, and I thought, for sure, most of the danger was behind us.”

Torch took the spot beside me, and Savior sat on the other. We remained silent, praying and hoping for good news. It felt like an eternity before two doctors came out. One talked to the Swift Angels first about Justin, and the other came to me. He faced me, his expression grim, and my heart dropped.

“Venom has a long road to travel before he’s back on his feet. He made it through surgery, but… we lost him. We were about to call time of death, when his heart started beating again. He’s been moved to recovery, but it’s been decided it would be best to place him in a coma to help with the healing process.”

“What…” I licked my lips. “What does that mean?”

“He’s going to sleep until his body is mostly repaired. Then we’ll see if we can get him awake again.”

“What do you mean you’ll see?” Panic welled inside me. “He has to wake up!”

The doctor nodded. “I understand how you feel, but his situation… it’s not the best. For a man his age, well. There’s a lot of trauma to his body. There’s no way of telling when he’ll wake up.”

“Or if, right?” I asked, giving a bitter laugh. “You’re telling me he’s alive, but I may never get the chance to talk to him again? To see his eyes open, or hear him laugh? What the hell am I supposed to do with that?”

I heard my voice rising but couldn’t stop it. Tears streaked my cheek, and I felt the hysteria welling inside me. Then my son was there. Dawson wrapped me in his arms, and I sobbed against his chest while he spoke with the doctor.

Venom. You better come back to me! I can’t live without you.

#BookReview ~ Together Again at the Cornish Country Hospital by Jo Bartlett ~ @J_B_Writer @rararesources @BoldwoodBooks #WomensFiction #SecondChanceRomance #Romance

Together Again at the Cornish Country Hospital

About the Book:

A lost love…

A&E Nurse Amy Spencer lives a very ordinary life in Port Kara. She loves her job at the hospital and has a great group of friends, but there is something or someone, missing from her life. Amy’s tried dating but no one ever compares with the one boy that got away – Lijah Byrne.

A surprise arrival…

Lijah’s life since he left Port Kara has been what dreams are made of. But lately Lijah has started to feel hollow – the fame and celebrity he once craved now makes him feel trapped. The only place he’s ever felt safe is Port Kara…so maybe it’s time to go back home?

A reunion written in the stars.

When Amy bumps into Lijah again, she only sees the boy she once loved with all her heart. But their lives are so different now. Amy knows a rekindling of their past love will end in heartbreak, but she can’t give up her second chance to be with the man she loves.

My Review:

Together Again at the Cornish Country Hospital is the fifth Cornish Country Hospital novel. I haven't read the previous four books in the series but I will definitely going back to the beginning.

Childhood sweethearts Amy and Lijah, now a nurse and a musician respectively, are reunited when Lijah comes back home to take a break and reevaluate his life. Lijah has always been Amy's one who got away but they are so different now. As they come back together, Lijah and Amy realize there is still that spark between then.

Together Again at the Cornish Country Hospital is a great second chance romance. I love the characters and the setting. I'm sure many of the characters I met along the way were featured in previous books, and it would be nice to get to know them in the proper order. The author wrote this story with realism, and it's very emotional in places.

I was provided with a copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Meet the Author:

Jo Bartlett was born a stone’s throw from the English Channel and still lives near the sea in Kent, with her family, so close to the South Eastern edge of England that they're very nearly French. It's probably why so many of her books are set near the sea too. Jo has made up stories for as long as she can remember, but never really took it any further, until a catalyst called cancer gave her the impetus to follow her dreams.

Since having her debut novel published in 2015, Jo has had numerous bestsellers in the UK, the USA, Australia and Canada, including a UK Top 10. Jo writes contemporary women’s fiction, with stories that focus on love, friendship, family and community. Since joining Boldwood Books in 2021, Jo has had twelve bestselling novels across The Cornish Midwife and Cornish Country Hospital series.

#BookReview ~ Savage (Lotus MC: San Antonio, Book 1) by Cala Riley #FriendstoLovers #SecondChance #Romance #MCRomance

Savage: Lotus MC: San Antonio, Book 1
by Cala Riley

Book Details:

ASIN: ‎ B0D7NZVLS5
Publication Date: ‎ March 27, 2025
Print Length: ‎ 260 pages

About the Book:

Savage

I never wanted to be the president of the Lotus MC, but when my uncle dies, I have no choice, but to fill his shoes.

As if putting my club back in order isn't enough, a Texas sized tornado blows into my life.
Bailey Watts.

She is my childhood best friend and the only woman I have ever truly loved. Time and distance has changed us though.

When danger finds its way to her life, I have a decision to make. Do I want to make good on the claim I put on her when I was seven years old or will I let her go for her own good?

Bailey

Taking a PI case for my best friend shouldn't be so hard, but her brother is a slippery little weasel.
That's how I find myself at the gate of the Lotus MC knowing there is only one man in this world that can help me.

Hayes Brown.

I haven't seen him since he broke my heart when I was seventeen years old, but the moment we are together again those old feelings come flooding in.

Things aren't always as they seem. When my case becomes intertwined in his club, we find ourselves chasing ghosts while dealing with the fall out of past decisions.

Will Savage and Bailey find their way back to love or are they destined to crash and burn once more?

My Review:

Savage is the amazing first book in the Lotus MC: San Antonio series. Two childhood best friends reconnect after several years apart. The catalyst of their reunion is the missing brother of Bailey's bestie, Laura. When her PI case stalls, Bailey knows the only person she can turn to for help is Hayes.

Their reunion is explosive, snarky, and a long time coming. I loved every bit of their banter. When they both finally admit their feelings - and not just the lovey-dovey ones - their walls crumble and the heat kicks up into high gear. Amid this friends-to-lovers and second-chance-romance is a an evil no one sees coming. Savage will do anything to protect Bailey - and I mean anything.

Savage is a beautiful and gritty MC romance, filled with suspense, action, and realism. The authors created a novel with all the feels. I laughed, my eyes waters, and I got angry. I was anxious and on the edge of my seat. The synopsis pulled me in but the character-driven plot, outstanding character development and world building, and writing style kept me engaged. I was unable to put the book down.

I was provided with a copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
