My Review: 

A Cornish Escape is the 46th story in the Little Duck Pond Cafe series. Each story in this series is fresh, interesting, and entertaining. The reader will be engaged from the start.

When a burglary at the Little Duck Pond Cafe causes Ellie's livelihood to come to a screeching halt, her employee Gertie has a plan. Jonah is a private investigator and he may be able to help fill in the gaps in the official investigation. As Gertie plays sidekick to Johan's PI, romance may be in the air.

A Cornish Escape is a continuation of Gertie and Jonah's story from book 45. I loved coming back to this world, visiting with old characters, and meeting new ones. A Cornish Escape isn't just a contemporary romance, featuring shady journalism, burglary, and danger. The realism of Rosie's stories will evoke emotional responses.

The author crafted a wonderful world and continues to build it and grow the characters. I enjoyed the writing style, pacing, and vivid imagery. The characters are written with depth, emotion, and realism.

Gertie has had a challenging past few months. Cheating boyfriend, accidental home purchase, a new boss that is cold as ice. When she meets a handsome stranger in a parking lot and they click, she hopes things are going to start looking up. 

I loved coming back to this world, visiting with old characters, and meeting new ones. Rumours, Romance and Rhubarb isn't just a contemporary romance. Gertie finds herself amid some dark situations that are written with care and compassion by the author. The realism of Rosie's stories will evoke intense emotional responses. 

The author crafted a wonderful world and continues to build it and grow the characters. I enjoyed the writing style, pacing, and vivid imagery. The characters are written with depth, emotion, and realism.

My Review:

Savage's Salvation is the third book in the Hurricane Heat MC series. This third book in the series is beautifully written. The Hurricane Heat MC series has found itself on my favorites list. I'm a huge fan of MC romances and this series is amazing. Savage's Salvation checked all of the boxes. Broody hero with a past that he feels makes him unable to love. Strong heroine who has gone through a lot in the past few years. A connection that just cannot be denied.

I was pulled into Claire and Savage's story and captivated by their personalities, drama, romance, and complications. Their chemistry sizzles, their passion is raw and very unexpected considering their pasts. Emotions flow through the entire book. I couldn’t put this story down. Perfectly composed, paced, and written, Savage's Salvation will pull you in and keep you engaged.

Phantom’s Healing is the second book in the Hurricane Heat MC series. What a fantastic sophomore novel in what is becoming of my favorite series’ about Motor Cycle clubs. I’m a huge fan of MC romance, and Phantom’s Healing checked all the boxes. Broody hero. Strong heroine. Crazy ex. Cute kids. Full protection. I loved Poppy and Phantom. I was pulled into their story and captivated by their personalities, drama, romance, and complications. Their chemistry sizzles, their passion is raw and very unexpected. Emotions flow through the entire book. I couldn’t put this story down. Perfectly composed, paced, and written, Phantom’s Healing will pull you in and keep you engaged.

My Review:

Finding Love at the Magical Curiosity Shop is an amazing book! I loved the story, the characters, the romance, well...everything. This story is so much more than a retelling of The Little Mermaid. Loosely based on a childhood favorite fairytale, the author magnificently modernized the story. My love for this book was so strong I read it in one sitting, unable to put it down. I had to know what happened between Ava and Ren and the story in the secret diary. I was hooked by the end of the first page.

Mickey is a dynamic character but her life has been filled by loss. Her curiosity shop, The Mermaid's Treasure Trove, keeps her balanced and her mind off of distressing things. However, she's lost her way with the shop but didn't realize it until one rude customer shakes the cobwebs loose. Ren and his daughter Ava suddenly appear in her shop one day. One typical 13-year-old and one typical uncool parent who are trying their best to navigate their own losses. Mickey and Ren hit if off even with their disastrous first encounter. 

Two broken souls, desperate, and unknowingly drawn to one another, unite in the most fantastic romance.

My Review:

Want is book 2 in the Men of Inked Sinners. I was pulled in by the description and knew I absolutely had to read this. I enjoyed Iris and Brax's story. He's not her usual type; she's everything he didn't know he needed. Together, they exude chemistry that leaps off the pages.

I was pulled into Iris and Brax's story and captivated by their personalities, romance, and potential and perceived complications.  Brax's family is fantastic and I loved seeing Tate and Wylder again. Brax and Tate's family are busybodies but so full of love. I love how their family embraced Iris. I loved the character interactions, continued world-building, and story.

Princess Sophie and the Christmas Elixir is a fully illustrated children's book. This is a wonderful holiday story fit for everyone, children and adults alike. The illustrations are cute and vibrant. The message portrayed is one of love and rekindling the Christmas spirit of the residents of an entire town. 

This is a quick read and perfect for a bedtime story. Of course, Princess Sophie and the Christmas Elixir can be read anytime - including outside the holiday season. While the setting is Christmastime, the message is about hope and love, and how one person can lift the spirits of many - a perfect message for anytime of the year. 

Please understand that I read holiday themed books at all time so the year, whether they coincide with the actual holiday time period, or not. Sometimes it's not so much the holiday that captures my attention, it's the message, theme, or synopsis of the book. Uplifting stories should be read whenever the mood strikes, and not just during the holidays. Princess Sophie and the Christmas Elixir is a beautifully written children's story that shouldn't be stuffed on a shelf 11 months of the year. Sophie needs to be out delivering her message all year long.

Princess Sophie lived in the tiny kingdom of Melodica with her father King Olav and her mother Queen Bianca. She loved her friends who were the birds and the rabbits and the squirrels who lived in the nearby forest. Princess Sophie especially loved Christmas. In fact, she loved everything about Christmas.

She loved the jingles and jangles. She loved the horns and the hooters. She loved the lights, the wrapping, the singing and clapping. She loved everything about Christmas. What she liked most was that warm, comfy feeling that you got just before Christmas. That something really good was going to happen. That feeling lasted for 12 whole days while Christmas went on in Melodica.

But this year something was just not right. There were still sparkles and sprinkles and lights all around. There was even a giant Christmas tree in the middle of the town square. Yet, Princess Sophie did not have that feeling, that special Christmas feeling. In fact, it felt a bit sad. She asked her mother, her father and her teacher but nobody knew what had happened. Worst of all, no one knew how to fix it.

“Oh, no,” said Princess Sophie to her favourite rabbit friend, Hopper. “We have to do something. We can’t have Christmas without that special Christmas feeling. What can we do?”

Princess Sophie asked her mother, her father and the nurse but nobody had ever heard of a medicine like that.

Now Princess Sophie was getting sad herself. “There must be somebody who can help us, but who? Hoppy didn’t have that answer so he hopped and hopped and hopped until Princess Sophie finally told him to stop hopping. “Your hopping has given me another idea,” she said. Christmas is magical, so the Christmas spirit must be magical, too. Who should we talk to about magic?” The rabbit just looked at her.
