My Review:
With a Spirit of Vengeance is a wonderful seventh book in the Bay Island Psychic Mystery series. I am always happy to be on Bay Island with Cass, Bee, Stephanie, Tank, Luke, and Beast. The Bay Island Psychic Mysteries are a favorite series of mine. I love Lena Gregory’s stories, writing style, and the characters she’s created and nurtured.The story is unique and entertaining. I was completely engaged from the very beginning. The resident spirit from the previous book, A Spirit Seeks Asylum, is back and she’s not happy. On top of Cass working on finding out who killed Ophelia Wilson’s family, descendants of Ophelia’s are murdered. Cass will need to work fast to identify the long-ago killer of Ophelia’s family, as well as the most recent killer.
I absolutely adore Cass, Bee, and Stephanie. Their dynamics create a friendship that is warm and emotional, and they have each other's backs - no matter what. Cass is a very down-to-earth person. She's likable from the start. It is easy to connect to her, whether you believe in psychic abilities or not. Stephanie and Bee are wonderful sidekicks to Cass main character. They are supportive and comforting to Cass. I love how the author has developed Bee. He sounds like the perfectly imperfect best friend that everyone wishes they had to stand beside them.
