My Review:
Jana and Kane's story is explosive emotionally, physically, and mentally. Jana is stubborn, in denial, and now Kane's boss. Kane is kind of a pushover where Jana is concerned but when he becomes the head coach, everything shifts. I love the realism of the relationship between Jana and Kane as they navigate her transition to owner of the Fury and his transition from hockey player to head coach. It's not an easy road for either of them, together or separately.
Both Jana and Kane have upbringing that shaped their adult lives into what they are right now. Baggage for both that is a hinderance and steers them into awkward situations (I'm looking at you Jana). Kane is not blameless but he's a lot more open to a relationship with Jana than Jana is with Kane. Both characters need to come to terms with their upbringing, their currently statuses in life (business and personal), and only then will they be able to move forward.
This book is emotionally rich with well-written characters. I loved the characters, the setting, the romance, and the realizations that occur in this book. I love how the authors are able to create a story that flows well, is perfectly paced, pulls in the reader, and keeps the reader engaged from start to finish. Another excellent addition to the Hockey Hotties series.
