#Review ~ Single all the Way by Elaine Spires (Singles Series, Book 3) ~ @ElaineSWriter @rararesources #Romance #HolidayRomance

Single All The Way

About the Book:

Travel Together Tour Manager Eve Mitchell is planning a quiet Christmas at home to rest and relax before a special New Year. But she soon, very unexpectedly, finds herself in the depths of the Essex countryside looking after a singles' group which contains some old, familiar faces and some pleasant - and not so pleasant - new ones. With its country walks, quizzes, disco and black-tie ball, the Christmas and Twixmas Break passes quickly, but just as they think it's all over the plot takes a twist and we learn some dark secrets...

My Review:

Single all the Way is the third book in the Singles series, and takes place a little closer to Eve's home - Essex. The close location is a good thing since Eve was planning to spend Christmas at home when she gets an emergency call. The Travel Together tour taking place in Essex has found itself without a tour manager. Eve gears up to take the mantle the day after Christmas.

I enjoyed Single all the Way. Each guest has a story and I liked learning their stories as the book moved along. Descriptive prose, wonderfully crafted characters, and an interesting setting pulled me into the book and kept me engaged. The author's writing had me feeling like I was in Essex with each guest. The story was told realistically, was believable, and not all sunshine and roses. I love how each book includes characters from previous books and previous trips.

I was provided a copy of this book.

My Rating:

Elaine Spires is a novelist, playwright and actress. Extensive travelling and a background in education and tourism perfected Elaine's keen eye for the quirky characteristics of people, captivating the humorous observations she now affectionately shares with the readers of her novels. Elaine’s Singles’ Series has its roots in her background as a tour manager for a UK tour operator.

Elaine also writes plays and her short film Only the Lonely was made by Dan Films and won the Groucho Club Best Short Film Award 2019 and two Silver Awards at WOFFF 2019.

Elaine is waiting for a film-maker with vision to turn the Singles Series into films or TV dramas.
