My Review:

A CATastrophic Neighborhood is a cute first book in the Pet Momma Cozy Mystery series.

Steve and Tarsey buy their first home together in the Bluffington Hills community. The neighborhood is overseen by an HOA with an overzealous property manager. Insert an unsolved mystery, missing person, missing cat, and general discord among the residents and you have one heck of a story.

The dialogue between the characters is a bit choppy sometimes but the story is engaging. I enjoyed following Tarsey as she tried to be the peacemaker in her new neighborhood, while trying to discover clues about the suspicious death, the missing property manager, and what happened to her cat. The setting and location were interesting and I loved meeting the characters.

This book really cements the fact that my husband and I will never live in a neighborhood governed by an HOA.
