My Review:
Save Me is the third book in Stacey Kennedy’s Phoenix
series, and the first book in the series I have had a chance to read. The book
is spectacular as a stand-alone, however I will be going back to the beginning.
The characters from books one and two are woven throughout book three and I’d
like to get to know them better.
Filled with more than just steamy moments, the emotional
layers written by the author rocked me. This isn’t your typical erotic romance.
There was sex, of course, but there was also romance, uncertainty, and realism.
Hazel and Kieran were meant to be together, and the author
wrote them perfectly. Their chemistry electric, the connection intense and
believable, and far too strong to be just a temporary. There is passion even though
Kieran has walls built up that almost ruin the best thing that's ever happened
to him. Neither character is perfect, and they both come with some heavy baggage.
Stacey Kennedy did a fantastic job with this story. Her
writing style is fantastic, and I really enjoyed reading the entire novel. Save
Me is very descriptive but not overdone. Hazel is a fiercely loyal friend and is
very much a protector of those she loves. I enjoyed her interactions with Zoey
and Elise. These wonderful friends definitely have each other’s backs.
I was provided a copy of this book to read.
