Quickly she learns the business is not doing well and could close in a few months. She jumps in with both feet and focuses on an upcoming wedding for a local wealthy socialite which could be their saving grace.
Everything seems to be falling into place until the night of the rehearsal dinner, when someone ends up dead and Leah’s best friend is the number one suspect. My Review:
I Thee Dead is a a fantastic cozy mystery. Leah is a wonderful character and I loved learning about her, her family, the legacy, and the wedding planning business. Having planned two of my own weddings, (one in 1998 and one in 2009) I know for a fact that I don't want to plan them for other people. Kudos to those who choose to walk down this path.
I had a great time reading I Thee Dead. Leah is a kind, caring, and very professional character. She's fun, relatable, and willing to get into the thick of things, whether it's a bridezilla or a murder. When a guest at a rehearsal dinner is found dead, her bestie is implicated, and her business credibility is questioned, Leah jumps in with both feet to help solve the case.
This story was well-written, perfectly paced, and enjoyable. The author crafted a mystery that is engaging, pulls the reader in, and keeps them guessing until the very end. I cannot wait for the next book.
I was provided a copy of this book.
