My Review:
I loved Afternoon Delight. The story and characters kept me
entertained. This isn’t your typical romance. The setting was fabulous, and I
loved how the author pushed Meg outside of her comfort zone. Sure, she was helping
out a friend, but she really learned a lot about herself. After years of being
in a disappointing marriage, Meg is free to reinvent herself – and reinvent she
does.
Anyone who has been through a divorce knows that you typically
don’t bounce back right away. Meg was able to leave familiarity and head back
home to her mom’s for a bit. Her relocation was two-fold. Help her friend run
her shop and help her mom move past the death of Meg’s dad. Actually, it was
three-fold. She needed to think about herself for once and make decisions that
made her happy. I love that she found that for herself.
Zak is her perfect partner. They vibe (pun intended) from their
very first meeting. Their close proximity has their feelings intensify through
this delicious slow-burn romance. Zak and Meg have explosive chemistry, but
they also share heartaches, pain, and humor.
