Here
we go. Since our last anthology a lot has changed AGAIN. We've survived a
global pandemic, political turmoil, and as I write this, Canada is worried
about a trade war and the collapse of relations with our southern neighbors.
Mirror
World has always existed to provide an escape from all this, but more than that
we want to hold up a mirror to the experiences of humanity as a means of
providing a more hopeful vision of the future. That's where this anthology
comes in. Because there's nothing more hopeful than love.
Last
year we ran a contest. We asked authors to submit stories where love thrived
despite the odds. Where romance and heartfelt dedication proved victorious in
the face of strife. Well, these authors delivered.
I'm
pleased to present to you seven stories that defy the odds and uniquely portray
love in all its forms, whether that love is on another planet, between
forbidden lovers, across cultures, for one's self, or one's friends. As always
we've included the bios and introductions from each of the winning authors so
you can get to know the minds behind the authors that dared to believe even in
these hard times that maybe, just maybe, love is worth the risk.
