My Review:
The One I Didn't See Coming is the third book in the Plain Daisy Ranch series. This is Emmet and Briar's story. Emmet is the youngest Noughton and Briar is Gillian's half-sister. Briar finds herself back in Willowbrook after a disastrous relationship ended in Chicago. In a wicked twist of fate, Briar finds herself staying in Emmet's house while she gets back on her feet and locates another place to live. Only forced proximity strikes again and neither can resist the other.
I really enjoyed Emmet and Briar's story. I immersed myself in their tale of long-ago-love, the enemies-to-lovers turn of events, sweetness, and humor. I loved them separately and together. They are strong characters that can stand on their own, but together? They are perfection. I loved watching their romance reignite, build up, and explode like fireworks.
I enjoyed the story, setting, and characters. I have really enjoyed the Plain Daisy Ranch series. I can't wait for the next book (Amazon shows there are 4 books in the series, and I am excited)!
