Trouble.

My Review:
I absolutely loved Maksim and Paisley's story. Maksim is the hockey team's protector, their defender, and will do what it takes to let the other team and fans know. This often lands Maksim in the penalty box, and it seems to be increasing in frequency. To say the owner is unhappy is an understatement. To get his head out of the space that causes him to go overboard, the owner and the coach insist on therapy sessions.
Paisley loves her career path and is building up her therapy practice. When her bestie Jana's dad, the owner of the Fury, wants to employ her as the team therapist, how can she resist. All is well until she's sitting across from Maksim. Cocky, sinfully hot, and that mouth! She knows the ethics that bind her but he's irresistible, relentless, and definitely not the type of person she thinks he is. All they have to do is get through the 3 mandated sessions and all will be golden.
Except, Maksim has a choice to make and either one he chooses may destroy everything he and Paisley have built.
The authors created a wonderful slow-burn romance between 2 unlikely characters. One is a hockey star with a soft and tender side but also some secrets and baggage. The other is a scarred therapist with baggage of her own. They were meant to be, and their relationship wasn't presented as being perfect. There were ups and downs as they navigated their feelings. I adored Paisley and Maksim and look forward to the next book in the series.
