Legend of the Timekeepers (Book 0.5):

There is no moving forward without first going back.

Lilith was a young girl with dreams and a family before the final destruction of Atlantis shattered those dreams and tore her family apart. Now refugees, Lilith and her father make their home in the Black Land. This strange, new country has no place in Lilith’s heart until a beloved high priestess introduces Lilith to her life purpose—to be a Timekeeper and keep time safe.

Summoned through the seventh arch of Atlantis by the Children of the Law of One, Lilith and her newfound friends are sent into Atlantis’s past, and given a task that will ultimately test their courage and try their faith in each other. Can the Timekeepers stop the dark magus Belial before he changes the seers’ prophecy? If they fail, then their future and the earth’s fate will be altered forever.

The Last Timekeepers and the Arch of Atlantis (Book 1):

Children are the keys to our future. And now, children are the only hope for our past.

When 13-year-old Amanda Sault and her annoying classmates are caught in a food fight at school, they're given a choice: suspension or yard duty. The decision is a no-brainer. Their two-week crash course in landscaping leads to the discovery of a weathered stone arch in the overgrown back yard. The arch isn't a forgotten lawn ornament but an ancient time portal from the lost continent of Atlantis.

Chosen by an Atlantean Magus to be Timekeepers--legendary time travelers sworn to keep history safe from the evil Belial--Amanda and her classmates are sent on an adventure of a lifetime. Can they find the young Robin Hood and his merry band of teens? If they don't, then history itself may be turned upside down.

Pulled into the world of espionage, torture, and intolerance, Jordan and the rest of the Timekeepers have no choice but to do whatever they can to stay one step ahead of the Nazis in order to find and protect a mysterious book.

With the help of the Dutch Resistance, an eccentric baron, Nordic runes, and an ancient volume originating from Atlantis, Jordan must learn that it takes true teamwork, trust, and sacrifice to keep time safe from the evils of fascism. Can Jordan find the hero within to conquer the darkness surrounding the Timekeepers? If he doesn’t, then the terrible truth of what the Nazis did will never see the light of day.

Lost and Found: Mysterious Tales from Fairy FallsThe Fairy Falls:

Fairy Falls was bores-ville from the get-go. Then the animals started talking...

Animal Shelter is in trouble. Money trouble. It’s up to an old calico cat named Whiskey—a shelter cat who has mastered the skill of observation—to find a new human pack leader so that their home will be saved. With the help of Nobel, the leader of the shelter dogs, the animals set out to use the ancient skill of telepathy to contact any human who bothers to listen to them. Unfortunately for fifteen-year-old Meagan Walsh, she hears them, loud and clear.

Forced to live with her Aunt Izzy in the safe and quiet town of Fairy Falls, Meagan is caught stealing and is sentenced to do community hours at the animal shelter where her aunt works. Realizing Meagan can hear her, Whiskey realizes that Meagan just might have the pack leader qualities necessary to save the animals. Avoiding Whiskey and the rest of shelter animals becomes impossible for Meagan, so she finally gives in and promises to help them. Meagan, along with her newfound friends, Reid Robertson and Natalie Knight, discover that someone in Fairy Falls is not only out to destroy the shelter, but the animals as well. Can Meagan convince her aunt and co-workers that the animals are in danger? If she fails, then all the animals’ voices will be silenced forever.

Read an Excerpt from Lost & Found:

“You can understand me, can’t you, girl?” the calico cat said, staring straight at her.

Meagan stretched, much like a cat, and then crossed her arms. “So what if I can? And FYI—cigarettes relieve stress for me. I need them like you need food.”

Whiskey’s ears flattened. “I do not need poisoned food, thank you very much. And what is stress, girl?”

“Meagan.”

“What?”

“My name is Meagan. How would you like to be called ‘cat’ all the time?”

“It is what I am.” Whiskey preened her head with a paw. “You humans are the only ones who need to give out names. In my lifetime, I have had three different names, though I like Whiskey the best. Now, what is this ‘stress’?”

“Stress is something adults do to kids all the time. It’s that push-push-push feeling that gets up all inside you. Stress makes your stomach bunch, neck tense, and head ache.”

Whiskey stopped grooming. “So why don’t you just walk away from this stress? Cats do it all the time.”

Meagan sighed. “I wish it were that easy.”

Whiskey sneezed, making her bells ring. “It’s easier than poisoning yourself with that white stick. If you could smell what I can smell, then you’d never pick up another white stick.”

Meagan laughed. “Maybe, but when I first walked into the shelter, you should have smelled what I smelled. It was ripe! Whew, you animals are disgusting!”

Whiskey grinned a cat grin, and then laid down on the gravel. “Does the Kind One know?”

“Kind One?”

“The human you came in with. Does she know that you can talk to cats?”

“Aunt Izzy? No. Only my mom knew. She used to work for a veterinarian, but…” Meagan paused, shook her head, and then cleared her throat, “Nobody does now. I used to talk to animals all the time when I was younger. It seemed natural to me, picking up pictures or feelings or emotions from a stray cat, a wandering dog, or a friend’s pet, and then sending a message back to them. I remember it being fun.”

Whiskey’s yellow eyes widened. “You can understand dogs, too?”

Meagan nodded. “Sure. I just pick up their signals, the same as I would for cats, and connect with them. I stopped doing it when I was around ten ’cause—” Meagan paused for the second time, and sighed deeply “—kids were making fun of me and adults didn’t believe me. I honestly thought I’d lost the ability until I picked up on you.”

The dogs started barking wildly again. “Okay, okay, hold your bits and pieces, Mama Gail is coming!”

“What’s going on?” Meagan asked, peering around the shed.

“It’s feeding time for the dogs. The Loud One is rotating them so they all get a chance to relieve themselves before eating.”

“The Loud One? For not caring about names, you animals sure have some strange ones for us.”

Whiskey’s tail twitched. “We go by the steady patterns we pick up from a human.”

“Steady patterns?”

Her tail flicked again. “Yes. Every human is different. The Loud One booms in everything she does. She uses her voice far too much and her ears far too little. The Quiet One is the opposite. She listens and rarely speaks, but knows more about what’s going on at the shelter than anyone else. Then there’s the Quick One. She speeds through the shelter, cleaning, watering, and feeding us as if she’s doing the job of ten humans. It’s all so disturbing to watch, darting here and there like a lost puppy on the road.”

“I see,” said Meagan. “So how did you come up with the oh-so-wrong name for my Aunt Izzy?”

Whiskey jumped up on her lap and stared into her blue eyes. Meagan shrunk. “If you can communicate with me, then you should know why.”

Whiskey was a light-weight cat, no more than a furry bag of bones, yet there was something intimidating about her, like an old-school teacher smacking a ruler against her palm. The truth was, this elderly cat knew her aunt better than she did and it made her a little on the jealous side. Other than the stories her dad had shared—the bar fight, the drug addiction, the rebellious big sister—she knew nothing else.

Meagan shook her head. “I haven’t a freaking clue, Whiskey.”

The cat almost looked disappointed. “Then may I suggest that you start paying attention? You’ll learn more about humans that way.”

Read Excerpt 2:

(Battle scene between hero & heroine)

“To heck with this,” she muttered, removing her fur cloak. She made a come-hither motion with her hands as she sauntered forward, soberer by the moment as she homed in on new prey.
“If you need to vent on someone,” she called out, “I’m right here, beast.”
The crowd parted into a circle and sparks seemed to spit higher into the air as Davyn’s fist froze before landing on Soren and he slowly turned his head her way.
“You’re mad at me, right?” She shrugged and held her arms out in surrender as her vision hazed red and her dragon eyes flared. “Then take it out on me, beast!”
He pulled away from Soren and narrowed his eyes on her. “I will not hurt you.”
“But you already are,” she spat into his mind. “And you know it.”
He didn’t respond telepathically just kept his eyes narrowed as they circled one another. He wore a sleeveless jerkin, his arm muscles flexing as he shook his head. “I do not fight women.”
“You do now.” She fingered the hilt of the dagger at her side. “Your choice whether it’s hand to fist or all weapons on deck.”
“I do not fight,” he began but snapped his mouth shut and dodged when she whipped a dagger straight at his face.
“Weapons it is,” she announced, her adrenaline already racing. She had never battled a man his size with his skills and looked forward to it. Her eyes went to Halla. “Suggestions?”
Halla looked from Davyn to Shea, the grin on her face blossoming into a wide smile as she began tossing Shea her weapons. A few daggers, an axe and a small mace of all things.
“I like your style,” she said.
Halla beamed and nodded. “As I am sure I will like yours, Cousin.”
Shea winked as she sheathed the daggers, tucked the mace away and started with the axe as her eyes narrowed on Davyn again. “I’ve never used one of these, but I’m sure I can figure it out.”
“Thanks to your DNA,” he said, switching modes entirely as he realized they were doing this. He was becoming less the heroic protector and more resolved to show her what a man was capable of.
“Damn straight.” She offered a charming, yet tempered grin. “Just remember when I beat you, that I gave you a heads up. You know several of my tricks now.”
“Yes I do,” he growled as one of the women who had hung on him earlier boldly gave him an axe and an eyeful of her cleavage. “Rest assured, I will not fall for any of them.”
She purposefully dropped her eyes to his groin as she ran her finger along the blunt edge of her axe’s blade and her tongue slowly and suggestively along her lips. Her tone was reluctant but wholly confident when she said, “No, I can’t imagine you’ll let your cock…ee issues get in the way.”
A small smile curled his lips, his eyes still locked on hers as he caught a sword Eirik of all people tossed his way. Meanwhile, the bodran drums that had faded started up again, and the excitement of the crowd stirred as more people filtered in to watch the fight.
She grinned right back at him, welcoming the same adrenaline rush that had filled her in the fight clubs back home. Only now she was in human form. No biggie. She rolled her shoulders, confident she could hold her own thanks to her DNA and plain old I-need-to-smack-that-smug-ass-look-off-his-face feeling she felt toward Davyn right now.
As they continued circling each other, she felt his rage building again. Not at her but at the twins. At what they did to her. How they touched her. How it made him feel. But what about her? How it made her feel? That was the key, though, wasn’t it? The great divide between them still. One he should have already asked her about…should have been concerned about.
Using that as the fuel she needed, she roared and raced at him, swiping the axe at his calf as she slid by only for him to spin and swipe his blade at her. She ducked, spun on her knee, scooped up a handful of dirt and flung it in his face before she slammed the hilt of her axe into the back of his knee and ducked away.
When he grunted in pain and fell to his knee, she spun back, saw red and swung the axe at his neck with all the fury she felt. Seconds before he lost his head, he ducked then stayed low, spinning with a leg outstretched but she was ready and leapt over it.
The crowd roared with approval as they sprang apart and started circling again. His dragon eyes were out now, and she loved it. She loved this. Fighting him. Pushing him. Making him face the fact that she could easily kick his butt.
“Easily?” he finally muttered into her mind. “I don’t think so, little Cupid.”

What he did next surprised even her.

“We all saw different spirits,” Emily surmised. “How is that possible?” Katie rose from Jacob’s side. “We each saw the person we wanted to see. The person we felt most connected to on the other side.” She came around the table to Magnus, grinning like a proud peacock. “Do you still doubt my abilities?” “No.” Magnus blew out a long breath. “I think we should not do this again, though. I got the impression what happened tonight may be only the beginning.” “The beginning of what?” Emily pestered. Magnus straightened his coat as he turned for the door. “Something very dangerous.” *** Excerpt from Blackwell by Alexandrea Weis with Lucas Astor. Copyright © 2017 by Alexandrea Weis. Genre: Historical Romance
About the Book:
1873 –
Adam Gentry, heir to the celebrated Paradise Stables in Virginia, is haunted by the visions of his lost love. Feeling cursed by fate, he slips deeper into grief, shrouded in a cloud of liquor and depression, and neglects his duties and responsibilities. But when Adam is forced to accept that there’s nothing he can do to change his past, he knows he must move on.

And he accepts his own destiny: that he will never love again.

Emmaline Somerset finds herself in the worst possible position any unmarried woman can be in. She will have to abandon all of her plans, hopes, and dreams for an independence using her own talents. The only viable solution is to move to a distant relative’s home and reinvent herself as a widow with an infant. No one will ever be the wiser.

Adam, now determined to secure the Gentry legacy, plans to save longtime family friend Emmaline from her embarrassment with an offer of marriage. But what Adam didn’t plan on was how his unexpected attraction to her would stir something inside of him, something he's kept locked deep within.

Can love finds its way between two troubled souls, one driven by duty, the other by honor, both determined to find their way home?
Read an Excerpt:

Adam thought that she really did need some rest as it seemed to him she was holding herself upright by sheer will alone. He stood at his place. Everyone turned their heads to him as if he would be giving another toast like Matt had done, making everyone chuckle, and then Jim, whose wishes for them had everyone in the room misty-eyed, including him. But his mother and Mrs. Somerset, his mother-in-law, strange as that sounded, both looked at Emmaline and stood.

“Come along now,” Louise said to Jane and Phillip and Betsy and motioning to Edwin to help her from her chair. “This has been a long day and I am exhausted.”

“Yes. I am as well,” Eleanor said. “And these children have near worn themselves out.”

Everyone drifted to the front hallway, gathering wraps and kissing children. Jim had Nettie’s two in his arms, carrying them outside to their carriage. Adam helped Louise into her seat and kissed her cheek as Edwin gathered the reins and nodded at him.

“See that Emmaline lies down, won’t you, Adam? I’m so worried for her,” Louise said.

“Of course. It’s been a trying week, but I think it was a beautiful and memorable day.”

She nodded and looked at him with watery eyes. “It has. Thank you.”

Matt and Annie were walking home, and he waved at them after kissing the children and thanking them. He went back inside and found Emmaline hurrying to the door.

“Tell mother to wait,” she began and then looked at him, her face going scarlet. “I don’t live there anymore, do I?”
