About the Book:
Hawke Vance will do whatever it takes to protect the family business, even if it means protecting it from his own father, a man who’s just gotten hitched in Vegas to wife number nine. Growing up seeing how much chaos wedded bliss creates, Hawke’s sworn never to fall into the matrimony trap. But to get the all-important controlling shares of the company, he does need a wife.
Being caught skinny dipping is not the way ballerina Amy Powell planned to start her vacation. When the hot biker who catches her turns out to be the owner of the house she’s staying in, she’s mortified. But embarrassment soon turns to confusion and a good dose of lust when Mr. Sex on a Stick offers her the money she needs to save her brother if she’ll agree to marry him and play pretend for two months.
Only this game of make-believe quickly starts feeling too real…
After watching his father cycle through marriage after marriage, Hawke's views of love and all that wedded bliss is less than cynical. There's no way he is going to fall into the trappings of that arrangement.....until Amy walks into his life as one of his many step-siblings. Her appearance at his home throws Hawke for a loop. He's never felt the things he feels when around Amy. He tries to push the feelings aside; however, they have other ideas. Ideas that involve Hawke and Amy together and not just due to a business arrangement.
All I Want is You is a cute story that pairs a jaded Hawke with a caring and compassionate Amy. As their business arrangement continues, real feelings of love begin to develop between them.
The author did a great job slowly building up the romance and making it sneak up on the duo. Readers tend to see where story lines are going in certain instances, such as in the case of the romance in this book. I love it when authors blindside their characters (or do the characters blindside their creator??), however, and the next thing you know, the biggest opponents of relationships find themselves smack dab in the middle of one.
The author provides enough character development to make Hawke and Amy relatable. The scenes are vivid and the story is fast paced and engaging. I enjoyed the way the author made the chemistry between Hawke and Amy believable. The emotional moments grab and wrap around the reader. The main conflict between Hawke and Amy was a little weak but the author brought it around full circle. I really enjoyed the story and the characters.
