Find out in this sparkling romantic Regency story!
About the Book:
A royal distraction...
...for the debutante!
Given her meagre dowry and lack of known parents, Isobel Lennox must use her only London season to make a sensible match. So why, oh why is she dazzled by the dashing, handsome Prince Claudio? She's not highborn enough to be his bride--and he's certainly not ready to marry. But one mesmerizing kiss later, neither can stay away from each other!
From Harlequin Historical: Your romantic escape to the past.
My Review:
Miss Isobel and the Prince is the second book in the Triplet Orphans series. While this is the second book, I have not read the first book. I don't feel like I'm completely out of the loop, but I will definitely be going back to read the first one.
Isobel and Claudio are in London for the Season. After a chance meeting on their way, separately, to London, neither has favorable feelings for the other. Between miscommunication, mistaken identities, and quarreling, they can't believe they meet up again at the start of the season. Both Isobel and Claudio have strong personalities that tend to put one another off, yet neither can dismiss the feelings being stirred when together.
I loved Miss Isobel and the Prince. They are likable characters, even when they are misinterpreting each other's words and actions. I enjoyed getting to know Isobel and Claudio separately and together. I love how the author drew them together, feistily at first, then more romantically as their story progressed.
I can't wait to go back and read book one, and then to get my hands on book three.
I was provided a copy of this book.
